Hanover, continues to be the beacon on the hill; shining brilliantly in areas of academics and co-curricular activities. Over the years, the school has achieved numerous awards of excellence and the academic year 2016 – 2017 was no different, regardless of the challenges faced.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The school\u2019s motto – \u201cStrive for Excellence\u201d – was portrayed in a plethora of activities, which led to high levels of success for both the school and students.Hanover, continues to be the beacon on the hill; shining brilliantly in areas of academics and co-curricular activities. Over the years, the school has achieved numerous awards of excellence and the academic year 2016 – 2017 was no different, regardless of the challenges faced. The school\u2019s motto – \u201cStrive for Excellence\u201d – was portrayed in a plethora of activities, which led to high levels of success for both the school and students.The success of the students depends largely on a community of persons working cohesively and labouriously to ensure that the students receive quality education. Bethel is known for its holistic development and high academic achievements. The outstanding achievements this year include:\u00a0\u2022 Defending Champion of the Gleaner Spelling Bee (Parish) (Jemoy Jarrett, three times Parish Champion).\u2022 2017 Champion of the Gateway Cooperative Credit Union Quiz Competition.\u2022 Winner of The Gleaner Spelling Bee County Award (Jemoy Jarrett, Speller with the highest GSAT score in the County of Cornwall, 96.4%).\u2022 2017 Jamaica National GSAT Parish Scholarship Award (Top GSAT score: Rodricka Thompson, 98.8% Average).\u2022 UWI Mathematics Olympiad Competition (Grade 4 students, Amari Spence and \u00a0Keron Todd\u2026Merit Awards; Grade 6 student Jai Crumbie, Merit Award and Jemoy Jarrett received an Honorable Mention)\u2022 Gold, silver and bronze medal winners in the JPS Western Primary Athletics Competition.\u2022 2nd place winner in the Hanover Primary Football Competition.\u2022 Awards and prizes in the Hanover 4H Competition.\u2022 Outstanding achievements in the 2017 GSAT.Bethel salutes its Top Achievers, especially Top Girl, Rodricka Thompson and Top Boy, Jemoy Jarrett and wishes them well as they position themselves to take on the next leg of their academic journey.The school extends gratitude to the many stakeholders, especially staff, who work assiduously to ensure that the school\u2019s motto is epitomized in every facet of school life during the academic year. \u00a0It is hoped that the upcoming school year 2017- 2018 will see Bethel Primary and Junior High charting new frontiers, taking its place as one of the institutions of choice for parents and students in Western Jamaica.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
