Mi\nbawl out again and again and then rush wid him go a hospital, but him nuh\nlive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pain tinged words of the anguished 84-year-old widow,\nHilda Stoddart of Johnson Hill, Glendevon, Montego Bay, who is still nervous\nand bewildered, as the gravity of the barbaric act weighs heavily on her mind.\nHer 43-year-old son, Fabian Stoddart, otherwise called \u2018Steve\u2019, stabbed his\n52-year-old brother, Robert Stoddart, otherwise called \u2018Coco\u2019, a casual worker,\nto death on Friday, December 20. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hilda, her heart in tatters, is still struggling to come to\ngrips with the fact that one son is dead and the other in jail, relegating her\nto a sorrowful Christmas season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She related to the Western Mirror<\/strong> that she still feels nervous and numb\nas she recalls what transpired on the fateful day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGary and Steve live at the same house next door to mine,\nbut Gary love to keep him place clean and him girlfriend always come over.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said Robert was chiding Fabian for keeping the house\nuntidy and a quarrel ensued between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabian is purported to have gone to his brother\u2019s room and\nbegan hurling expletives at him, calling his older brother a \u2018b-man\u2019 in the\nprocess, and Gary pushed him from the room and told him to get out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabian reportedly returned with a knife which he allegedly\nplunged into his brother\u2019s abdomen and pulled it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert ran from the room and bawled out \u201cMama!\u201d, and that\u2019s\nwhen Hilda\u2019s worst fears were realized, when she saw her son crying and\nbloodied, rushing to her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SURRENDERED TO THE POLICE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabian subsequently went to the Freeport Police Station\nwhere he surrendered to the police and confessed to the killing of his brother,\nand was taken into custody. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMi used to talk to that bwoy all the time because every day\nhim threaten him bredda dem and mi used to tell them to report it.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hilda said while her sons all help to take care of her,\nthere is a special bond between her and Robert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 She shared that she\nhad a difficult marriage, and her husband died 26 years ago. Two of her sons\nalso predeceased Robert, one died in England and another in the USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGary was so close to me. He would come home and the first\nthing him do would be to come and look for me and ask if I am alright and if mi\nhungry. Him would say \u2018Mama Hilda, yu aright mi modda? Yu hungry?\u2019 Him always\nchecking up on mi to ensure that mi alright. But now him gone, Steve butcher\nhim.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said another of her sons, Ruenth Stoddart, who was named\nafter his father, is now living with her and has taken up where Robert has left\noff.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know, I have not gone to the police station to see\nFabian. I just don\u2019t have the feeling to go see him. I can\u2019t bring myself to go\nlook for him.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople claim that he has mental problems. I don\u2019t believe that because somebody who is mental can\u2019t drive taxi fi people, bring their correct money to them and when he gets his money, knows what to make on himself with it. If he gets sick and get tablets, he spits them out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRight now, is the grace of God keeping me. My Church has\nbeen good to – me Bethel Assembly. The pastor and members have been so helpful;\nthey are a tower of strength.  As I say,\nis only God keeping me, only him because without him, I can\u2019t manage this,\u201d\nbemoans Mrs. Stoddart. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
