{"id":2651,"date":"2019-08-07T17:47:32","date_gmt":"2019-08-07T17:47:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2651"},"modified":"2019-08-07T17:48:29","modified_gmt":"2019-08-07T17:48:29","slug":"bench-warrant-issued-for-accused-dildo-thief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2651","title":{"rendered":"Bench warrant issued for accused dildo thief"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A bench warrant has been issued for Garcia Gillette, the St. James man accused of breaking into a woman\u2019s house and stealing her dildo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gillette, 25, of a Granville, St. James address, was\nscheduled to appear before the St. James Parish Court on Monday, July 29 to\nanswer to a charge of housebreaking and larceny, but due to his failure to\nattend court, presiding judge Sandria Wong-Small issued a warrant for his\narrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident reportedly took place on January 19, 2019\nsometime after 3:30 p.m. after the woman locked her two-bedroom dwelling house\nin Granville and left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her son returned home from school and saw Gillette inside\nand left immediately to call his mother. The woman could not gain access upon\nher arrival at the premises as Gillette had bolted a latch on the inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gillette was later seen at the side of the house and fled\nupon seeing the complainant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She managed to gain entry, and upon entering her room, she\nnoticed a black handle ratchet knife that did not belong to her, a Slam condom,\nas well as her underwear and a bottle of Essence Oil. She also noticed that her\ndildo was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The police were alerted and while they were at the premises,\nGillette returned to the premises and was chased and held.
