{"id":2193,"date":"2019-02-20T22:04:30","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T22:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2193"},"modified":"2019-02-20T22:04:32","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T22:04:32","slug":"jericho-mourns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2193","title":{"rendered":"Jericho mourns"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Fatal crash claims two<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Craig Oates<\/em><\/strong> <em>&#8211; Hanover Correspondent<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pall of gloom hangs heavily over the community of Jericho\nin Hanover, as residents continue to mourn the untimely deaths of two of their\nyoung citizens who lost their lives in an accident along the popular Holland\nBamboo main road in St. Elizabeth on Saturday, January 16.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased have been identified as 29-year-old Andrew Bingham and 17-year- old Deniel Taylor, both of Jericho. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"513\" src=\"http:\/\/westernmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Deniel-Taylor.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/westernmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Deniel-Taylor.jpg 500w, https:\/\/westernmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Deniel-Taylor-292x300.jpg 292w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Deniel Taylor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Reports are that\nshortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, Bingham was driving a white Toyota Corolla\nmotorcar in which Taylor was a passenger, from Middle quarters towards Santa\nCruz, when he attempted to overtake a line of traffic, lost control of the\nvehicle and collided with a Toyota Hiace minibus transporting members of the\nBible Way Apostolic Church, which was travelling in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bingham and Taylor, along with other persons who were\ninjured in the bus, were taken to hospital, where Bingham and Taylor were\npronounced dead, while the injured from the bus were treated and admitted in\nserious condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adrian Mack, a resident from the Jericho community who knew\nboth men, said: \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe my eyes when I saw the car on my social\nmedia page. I knew it was them and was praying all would be fine, but\nunfortunately, this wasn\u2019t to be because both men died. They were good young\nmen.
