{"id":2107,"date":"2019-02-01T19:24:59","date_gmt":"2019-02-01T19:24:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2107"},"modified":"2019-02-01T19:25:58","modified_gmt":"2019-02-01T19:25:58","slug":"frogs-day-in-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/westernmirror.com\/?p=2107","title":{"rendered":"Frogs\u2019 day in court"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">W<strong>hen two frogs, both with sheets of parchment papers in\ntheir mouths bearing names on them, showed up in the Western Regional Gun Court\non Wednesday, legal proceedings were brought to a halt, giving way to pandemonium,\nand leaving many to speculate that the frogs were there on witchcraft\/obeah\nduties.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discovery, which was made by two lawmen around 9:30 a.m.\nin the courthouse, sent lawyers, as well as other court attendants, hopping,\nsome to avoid frog poop, and others to escape what they believed was a sure\nsign of witchcraft at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While most in attendance were afraid to approach the\nbusiness-like frogs, the sheets of paper they were carrying in their mouths\nwere carefully and eventually removed, and the writings on them revealed. The\nnotes read: \u201cJermaine Maris Smith: Judge 1, Judge all.\u201d It was further observed\nthat one frog had one sheet of paper in its mouth, while the other had two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though unconfirmed, reports are the name on the sheets of\npaper is that of an accused person who has a matter in the Gun Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Up to yesterday, according to several reports, the frogs\nwere still in the courthouse, despite having the pieces of paper removed from\ntheir mouths.
