As the security forces continue the heightened operations in Westmoreland to curtail the gang activities in the parish, a sub-machine gun has been seized; two wanted men, along with four of the persons of interest, have been taken into custody.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reports from the Westmoreland Police are that about 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, an operation was carried out in the Solas area of Frome where an Uzi submachine gun, along with two magazines and twenty-four 9 mm cartridges, were seized. Two women and seven men were detained during that operation.
\nIn the meantime, six of the ten persons listed as wanted men and persons of interest, following the flare-up of gang-related violence in Grange Hill last week, are now in Police custody.<\/p>\n

The men, who are all from addresses in Westmoreland, are:
\nHaldane Hamilton, otherwise called \u2018Fishy\u2019 of Paul Island district, Grange Hill, who was wanted for murder.
\nJeffery Ramdass, otherwise called \u2018Boogie\u2019 30 years old, of Paul Island district, Grange Hill, who was also wanted for murder.<\/p>\n

Persons of Interest<\/strong><\/em>
\n– Cassinero Shields, otherwise called \u2018Gaza Man\u2019 of Rocky Hole, Burnt Savannah District, Frome.
\n– Tevin Tomlinson, otherwise called \u2018Nandy\u2019 of Sterling District, Grange Hill.
\n– Derval Williams, otherwise called \u2018Lukie\u2019 of Kings Valley district, Grange Hill.
\n– Eggerton Gordon, otherwise called \u2018Jason\u2019 of Church Lincoln district, Grange Hill.<\/p>\n

Hamilton turned himself over to the Negril Police on Thursday, while Ramdass handed himself in to the Sava-la-Mar Police on Friday. Shields, Tomlinson and Williams handed in themselves on Thursday while Gordon did likewise on Friday.
\nThe Police are renewing their appeal for the others who were published to hand in themselves immediately.<\/p>\n

\n1. Martin Humes, otherwise called \u2018Kartel\u2019 of Kings Valley district, Grange Hill, Westmoreland
\nWanted<\/strong>
\n– Isaiah Perry, otherwise called \u2018Matthew Perry\u2019 or \u2018Cat\u2019 of Kings Valley, Grange Hill, Westmoreland. He is wanted for shooting.
\n– Richard Hamilton, otherwise called \u2018Brutus\u2019 or \u2018Mad Move\u2019, 23-year-old, of Paul Island district, Grange Hill, Westmoreland. He is of dark complexion, slim build and is wanted for murder other related incidents in the division.
\n– Burton Shearer, otherwise called \u2018Bap\u2019, 49-year-old of Church Lincoln district, Grange Hill, Westmoreland. He is of dark complexion, slim build and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He is wanted for murder.<\/p>\n

These wanted men are considered armed and dangerous; as such their whereabouts must be reported to the Police immediately through Crime Stop at 311, 811 or the Police 119 emergency number. Citizens are also being reminded that it is not only an offence harbour criminals and provide a safe haven for them but it also places the lives of family and friends at increased risks of attack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
