Popular Jamaican artiste, Peter Lloyd, is set to release his second album entitled, ‘Stories from I Father’s Country’.

It is his first album in almost a decade and is being produced by record label, Black Light Records, from out of Atlanta, Georgia in the USA.

Featured on the album will be 17 must-listen tracks, some of which include two of the artiste’s international number one hit singles, ‘Searching’ and ‘O My Darling’ plus other hits like ‘Gold Digga’ and ‘Wake Dem Up’, which were made popular throughout Jamaica earlier in the last decade.

The other tracks, he said, are new, never heard before singles produced by the singer along with other iconic producers like ‘Sly and Robbie’, Dean Fraser, CD Master and more. Almost all the songs on this, his latest joint, were written by Lloyd, and is a mix of the varying tastes of reggae, from roots rock to dancehall, to lovers rock and even Caribbean pop.

‘Stories from I Father’s Country’ will be released first in stores in Europe on May 3, the same date set for it to be available on internet sites including I-Tunes, Amazon and hundreds more music websites. Three months later, hard copies will then be made available in Jamaican stores in Montego Bay, Kingston and Portmore.

Peter Lloyd noted that the album features him alone because since it is his first in 10 years, he wanted the world to know him, his music and sound. He added that some promotion will be done overseas to further promote its launch.

As for the album itself, Lloyd said that he already had been receiving some good reviews with reggaespace.com, ranking it as one of the top five anticipated albums out of reggae in the last 10 years.

“We are expecting great things from the album so it is fair to also expect it to do well locally and overseas as well.”

Peter Lloyd is an established recording artiste, model, songwriter, composer and actor.
