Western Mirror -Montego Bay Jamaica: Ackee trade war and poisioning in Jamaica Ackee trade war and poisioning in Jamaica ================================================================================ Contributed on 12/03/2011 06:00:00 The Editor, Dear Sir, Over 20 citizens have died from ackee poisoning while many have been hospitalized in some five parishes including Westmoreland, St. Mary and St. Catherine. This has left Jamaica’s newly UN Officiated Indigenous Peoples Sovereign State in wonderland. Making matters worse, at least one tourist died from ackee poisoning and others hospitalized. This well-orchestrated motive to devalue and subsequently criminalize imported ackee products on the global market prove the long expected blood trail to this mass killing, termed food poisoning. This modern day atrocity is nothing but a global insult to the integrity of Jamaicans from all walks of life. Ackee came from the Hebrew Ashanti home of Ghana, West Africa, long before slavery, sharing similar indigenous characteristics of the gold trading Moors, now Maroons, that owned this country. Like ackee, other plants with fruit bearing and medicinal capabilities, were transported to Jamaica by a number of mainly free Afro-migrating groups that are traditionally known to carry their indigenous food and its related kabalistic knowledge to their hansom usage. Only in recent years, the international World Community proved that the Maroons have expert capabilities, especially in the very Hebrew linguistics, the special branch of IP-TK Intellectual Property to Traditional Knowledge in the dietary usage of ackee. That is to say, we have not lost any important detail that would in any way discredit our overseas marketing and promotion of this 21st, Century vegetarian Heritage Food Master Piece. Ackee means more than food for my new Sovereign State. Given to us by our Ashanti ancestors, Seen Nanny and Captain Eligimo Kojo, it is also a living symbol of victory over the mark genocide of once British colonial rule, which ended in 1991. Surprisingly, the same day some five people died from ackee poisoning, I personally ate three pods of uncooked ackee. The day before I penned this piece, I had ackee for dinner and again on the day I wrote this article. not to Thousands of persons will be eating the fruit again tonight, and without an ounce fear As New Maroon Paramount Chief of what is now Nyankopong Sovereign State, I am extending my sincere condolences to the immediate family members and friends of the victims, both local and overseas. As you mourn the passing of your loved ones, please acknowledge my steadfast plea to the respective orgaizations of the United Nations, UNFPA, The National Commission of UNESCO, CIDA, Canadian International Development Agency, and related INDIGENOUS People grant, funding and diplomatic channel to immediately assist and to collaborate in the establishment of the necessary infrastructure to launch for our indigenous and indigent poor citizens, the nations first Heritage Protection independent investigation research centre. Even at this sensitive moment, we are again assuring our potential donors that we are not interested in assistance to research ackee or any of our exportable Heritage Food Products. Instead, we are seeking to develop a built-in 21st Century Trade War Defenses Mechanism, if we are to guarantee the recommended sustainable development from our wide rage of Heritage Products. Speaking from Nyankopong Sovereign State Paramount Chief office as the founder of CCHF. Rastalogy International consultant company, and Maroon Internal Government Investigation Bureau, as early as 1998, I had officially asked then Minister of Youth and Culture, Mr. Phillip Paulwell, to immediately put in place a Strategic Cultural Defense (SCD) programme / policy to protect us from these coming 21st Century Atrocities. I was serious about my approach to the Government based on my cultural information consultation view point. I was fully aware of the fact that 86 per cent of Jamaica’s new income will be discovered in Cultural Heritage products We, the stake holders, will not forget, back in 1998-9, World Bank’s imbalance proposal to develop and market special eco-tourist products, inclusive of our Heritage Foods. Those experiences were seriously preparing us meaning the CCHF Cockpit Country Heritage Foundation for the flood gate of trade related atrocities like the recent ackee propaganda. Many of our Heritage products are already registered at the WTO, World Trade Organization. In an interest to revisit those out standing IP VIOLATIONS, may the recorded minutes of the 1998 Geneva IP FORUM which took place at the Jamaica conference centre in Kingston, reflect that I had personally represented the Cockpit Country Maroon Sovereign State in a plea for in balancing justice to World Bank’s hostile approach to now Cockpit Country development. From these investigations done by Maroon Internal Government Investigation and The Cockpit Country Heritage Foundation, we had discovered Brand Jamaican Heritage products which cannot be fully controlled by international conglomerates, is destined to suffer mass destabilization on its way to global market. IN MY SOVEREIGN RESPONSIBILITY FOR securing MY INDIGENOUS STATE municipality I hereby declare all Ackee Food Products safe, as long as traditional practices are fully observed.
